Billing Administrator at City Law Firm – Hybrid Working
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious junior legal billing administrator or legal finance assistant looking for a new role and somewhere to really build a career in legal finance.
Our client is a boutique law firm, based in the heart of the City (between Bank and Liverpool Street) with an incredibly friendly and supportive finance team, and they are looking for someone keen and eager to join them in a newly created role.
The firm offer a very flexible hybrid working approach and after an initial period where you’ll be in the office 3 days per week they expect this role to only need you to be in the office once or twice a week.
The role will be a complete mix of legal billing (6-12 months experience in a billing role essential, e-billing experienced desired) and will lead to opportunities to gain more experience and take on more responsibility. Duties will include;
- Processing high volumes of bills
- Reviewing bills for correct Vat and disbursements
- Assisting with WIP and write-offs
- Producing credit notes
- Processing invoices
- Expenses - posting and paying them
- Bank Reconciliations
What they are looking is someone with around 1-2 years’ experience within a law firm finance/accounts team with an understanding of legal billing/e-billing, disbursements and excellent communication skills.
Ideal candidates will have gained their experience in a law firm, but they will consider candidates from other professional services environments.
