History

Since our inception back in 1997, ‘The Law Support Group’ has grown to develop a range of services and niche brands designed to support both regional and international banking and law firms here in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. We cover all areas of recruitment from support staff to fee-earner level recruitment – and in 2009 with the focused acquisition of DA Solutions Ltd, we have become an unrivalled market-leader within paralegal and legal support recruitment. 

Due to the successful merger of Law Support and DA Solutions, this sparked the start of our expansion and in 2010, the firm added another senior lateral hire to establish a professional support brand to focus on business development, marketing and accounts/finance.  In addition to this, we divided our banking division into support staff and professional divisions in response to the constant demand for in-house banking regulatory and risk/compliance candidates.

Following our continued and focused expansion, this further led to the launch of another specialist brand in 2014; US Law Support.  We quickly realised that there is a huge difference between recruiting for UK law firms and the American law firms based in London, Europe and the Middle East.  With this in mind, we made another high profile and senior level hire with extensive industry knowledge and contacts who has since gone on to expand considerably and now boasts a client base of over 80% of the US law firm market.

2014 was a particularly busy and successful year for The Law Support Group, we established a new Manchester office to support law firms based in the North West and Midlands with all areas of our recruiting expertise, alongside establishing another new brand ‘Translation Support’ in order to broaden the supply of our translation services product across the UK and Europe.

As the progressive and ever changing legal market continues to grow, technology, litigation support/eDiscovery and case review solutions continue to develop throughout the legal sector and in support of this we now have a dedicated team who manage all levels of eDiscovery and document review projects either on-site at the offices of our law firm clients or off-site hosted and managed by The Law Support Group directly.  We provide trial preparation services such as Intelligent Voice (voice to text), XBundle and electronic bundling, printing, copying, scanning and archiving services for law firms who prefer to outsource this labour intensive area on a contracted basis rather than absorbing extra fixed overheads - all at a price that our competitors, even the market leaders, simply cannot match.

Additionally, in 2016 we were delighted to announce the launch of our latest brand within Intellectual Property ‘IP Support’.  The Law Support Group made another senior level hire of a previous IP Professional who moved into recruitment in 2013; Daniel will assist us in the delivery of the same quality service that all our brands pride themselves on.  IP Support will provide recruitment services to IP, Patent & Trademark law firms and in-house legal departments based in the UK and Europe.
