Fosters Solicitors starts its summer intern programme
Norfolk-based Fosters Solicitors is accepting eight interns this summer, with the first of the summer 2018 placements joining the firm’s branch at Wymondham at the beginning of June.
This year internships were offered in the departments of Family & Children, In House, Residential Property, Wills, Trusts & Probate and Personal Injury. As well as the Wymondham branch, the intern placements will also be offered at the firm’s Norwich headquarters.
Head of Human Resources at Fosters Solicitors, Heather Brown, said:
“We are thrilled at the uptake of placements this year – and it is always good to see candidates with such a keen interest in following a career in law.
“We look forward to welcoming the rest of the interns as they join the business and wish them well.
“We hope they find their time with us helpful and informative in showing them how a law firm functions day-to-day. We also look forward to learning from their experiences and developing our internship programme further.”
Applications for internships at Fosters Solicitors will open for summer 2019 in the winter of 2018 and details will be posted in the recruitment section of the firm’s website.
The company apologised for being unable to offer placements to anyone under the age of 18 – and suggested that those under 18 who are interested in a career in law should look to the firm’s Career Evenings. The next Career Evening organised by Fosters will take place on 9 October 2018 and applications to attend this are now open.
In June, Fosters also welcomed Julie Sheldrake as the firm’s new Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate, as part of its plans for continued expansion.
Fosters Solicitors Chief Executive Chris Brown said:
“Julie joins Fosters at a very exciting time as we implement our five-year business plan to grow the firm and its areas of work – expanding our Wills, Trusts and Probate team is a large part of those plans.”
Julie Sheldrake – who is a Full Professional Member of the national organisation Solicitors for the Elderly – added:
“I am delighted to have joined such an established and progressive law firm – I am very much looking forward to an exciting future further developing and expanding the department at Fosters.”
The Law Support Group covers all areas of recruitment – from support staff to fee-earner level recruitment – for both regional and international banking and law firms here in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
