Nottingham law firm merger will expand international legal services to clients
Nottingham-based DCH Law has acquired Buckles Solicitors LLP, which will not only strengthen Buckles’ expanding service provision, but will also allow DCH clients access to a wider range of legal services and expertise across sectors such as Employment Law, Construction & Engineering, and International Services, said the firms.
Buckles Solicitors already has an established strategic alliance with Franco-Italian law firm, Castaldi Partners, providing legal solutions to businesses and individuals across Europe, which DCH Law says will be beneficial to clients post Brexit.
Buckles opened its Nottingham office in 2014 – and has established offices in London, Peterborough, Stamford, Paris and Milan.
Niche commercial practice DCH Law was established in September 2013 and has a strong local reputation in Nottingham.
Pip Dawkins of DCH Law said:
“This presents a superb opportunity for us to provide an even better service to our clients.
“It means we have strength in depth and a much greater knowledge pool, not to mention offices in Paris and Milan and a ready-made gateway into Europe, which can only be beneficial and exciting for all our clients in the coming ‘post Brexit’ years.”
James Coppinger, Head of Office and partner in the Construction & Engineering Team at Buckles, added:
“This deal is part of our on-going growth strategy and shows our commitment to Nottingham.
“There is a significant amount of synergy between the two firms – and with our shared ethos of providing practical, solutions-focused advice and an excellent client experience, it makes perfect sense to join forces to further enhance our offering in the city.”
The newly merged firm will operate from the same building where DCH Law and Buckles Solicitors have always operated, Cumberland House in Park Row, Nottingham. Buckles offers business and private client services across the East Midlands, while DCH Law also offers business and private client legal services, including shareholder agreements and franchising, as well as wills and probate services.
