mfg Solicitors adds litigation specialist to Contentious Probate team

1103/2019

mfg Solicitors in Shropshire have announced the appointment of a Wills and Probate specialist to add to the team in its contentious probate department.

Andrew Chandler has joined the firm’s existing team of 12 within the litigation department, having joined mfg solicitors from DAC Beachcroft Solicitors in Birmingham.

He is an expert in a range of industry areas, said mfg, including the validity of wills and fraud claims.

Working alongside partners Robert Weston and Suzanne Lee, Mr Chandler will be handling disputed trusts, wills, and complex probate issues.

The appointment is the second the firm has made in litigation division within the last six months – and Robert Weston was awarded a top tier rating in this year’s Legal 500 guide for specialist work on contentious probate matters.

He said that the latest appointment of Andrew Chandler would be “an asset to the team” – as well as bringing the skills required to maintain the firm’s top tier Legal 500 status.

mfg Solicitors is one of the oldest solicitors and can trace the roots of the company back to 1556. It has offices across the West Midlands.

As well as legal services for private clients and business, it also has a department specialising in farming law.

Its business services offer legal advice to both established businesses as well as start-ups.

Private client services include conveyancing and mortgages – as well as a team of highly experienced members of the Law Society’s Family Panel and Children Panel.

Farming law advice covers not only rural Worcestershire and Shropshire, but is nationwide – and the rural services legal team offers advice to farmers, estate owners, tenants and people living and working in rural areas.
