Birmingham law firm continues expansion
Birmingham-based law firm Emms Gilmore Liberson (EGL) has added another senior member of staff to its property litigation team, with the appointment of Perveen Kaur Dhami.
The firm said she would be working alongside Partner Martyn Liberson to develop EGL’s national and international property litigation client base.
Ms Kaur Dhami joins as an Associate Director and was previously with Anthony Collins Solicitors. She has more than 12 years’ experience – including property disputes involving major high-street retailers, developers, social housing associations and local authorities.
Partner at EGL, Martyn Liberson said:
“Perveen is a highly skilled and trained lawyer, who has often been described by her clients as ‘pragmatic and efficient’ in finding the best solution.
“She has experience across a range of complex property disputes, which complements our hugely talented property litigation team.
“Perveen’s appointment gives us further opportunity to develop and service our rapidly expanding client base locally, nationally and overseas.”
Ms Kaur Dhami added:
“I’m really pleased to be joining EGL as part of its renowned property litigation team.
“This firm is unique in that it attracts the kind of high-quality clients that are often only seen at national and global firms, but its consultative and values-led approach hits the right note with clients and very much sets it apart from its competitors.
“EGL has continued to grow consistently since its formation – and I’m excited to be part of its future.”
Emms Gilmore Liberson was established in Birmingham, in 2011 “to form a practice based on giving highly experienced professional advice”.
The company continues to grow and in April announced the promotion of three additional partners across its practice, in preparation for further growth. A total of four partners have now been appointed in 2019, including
Jonathan Wright in January 2019, as well as Richard Cooper, Beth Margetson and Jon Start bringing the total number of EGL partners to eight.
Founding Partner at EGL, Stephen Gilmore, said:
“We are pleased to have brought on board these three ambitious, dedicated and hugely talented lawyers to the partnership – Richard, Beth and Jon have consistently excelled in their legal service delivery.
“They live the firm’s values, particularly as regards service to our clients – and their respective skills and expertise complement and strengthen our business.
“EGL was founded with the aim of making available commercially-informed professional advice from highly experienced lawyers at an affordable price.
“Our story has been one of continuing growth, with a quality of work that has attracted a first-class team of lawyers to the practice, many of whom have trained at or have worked in national or international firms.
“These three partner promotions highlight both the diverse range of talent and the wealth of opportunity that exists within our expanding practice and provides a platform for further growth.”
