We are working alongside a leading London based law firm who are recruiting a third line support engineer on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for the implementation, support and ongoing management of the firm’s IT systems.
One of the key aspects of the role will be to monitor and take ownership of tickets assigned to both the 2nd and 3rd line support teams in the call logging system. You will provide support on a variety of hardware issues such as PC’s, laptops, printers and iPhones. Support will also be provided on software issues relating to the Microsoft 2016 Office Suite as well as iManage, Interaction, Aderant, Elite PMS and Adobe. You will also be responsible for overall performance and security of all IT systems.
Monitoring and updating the IT service desk system is of high importance, this will include prioritising and following up calls to ensure that all users are supported in a timely manner. You will be required to maintain and update the existing system documentation and user guides as directed. The third line support engineer will work closely with the infrastructure manager and IT director and play a key role in future projects.
Candidates will have gained extensive experience of performing similar roles within the legal sector and will have built up a comprehensive knowledge of the majority of the following, MS Windows Server 2016-2019, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware, MS SQL, iManage, Aderant, Elite 3E and Interaction.
A structured and analytical approach is paramount coupled with first class communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines. Flexibility is key as some out of hours support during evenings and weekends will be required.
