Family Paralegal with Morrisons Solicitors shortlisted for National Paralegal Award
Surrey-based law firm Morrisons Solicitors has announced that a paralegal working in its Family Law department has been shortlisted for The National Paralegal Awards.
The firm said that Kaya Suleyman – who is based at Morrisons Solicitors Redhill office – has been shortlisted for Best Family Law Paralegal. Mr Suleyman has worked with Partner and Head of the Family Law Department, Stephanie Calthrop-Owen, since 2016.
“He plays a valuable role in the department, working closely with clients to provide support, whilst keeping them up to date at every stage,” said a spokesperson for the firm, which has offices at Redhill and Reigate.
The National Paralegal Awards will be held at The Mayfair Hotel in London on 29 March. They are organised in association with the Professional Paralegal Register and reward and recognise outstanding Paralegals in the UK for the contribution they make to the legal profession.
Morrisons added that Mr Suleyman was awarded ‘Employee of the Year (Redhill)’ by the firm in 2017 – and is recognised for his outstanding testimonials received from clients.
“We are proud that Kaya has been shortlisted for ‘Best Family Paralegal’ this year – and his ongoing support to both his department and the firm does not go unnoticed.”
Head of Family Law at Morrisons, Stephanie Calthrop-Owen, said:
“I have been able to give Kaya a “frontline” role with clients, as I am always confident that he will create excellent relationships and win their confidence.
“Clients always tell me that he has gone ‘over and above’ to assist them and are always full of praise… He is an all-round perfect paralegal!”
Entry for the National Paralegal Awards is now closed, but the organisers say that judges have selected individuals working in specific legal sectors and companies “who can demonstrate outstanding legal skills, client satisfaction, innovation and development”.
The Professional Paralegal Register or PPR is a voluntary registered scheme to promote professional paralegals as a recognised fourth arm of the legal profession – and to enhance consumer choice and protection.
The Law Support Group covers all areas of recruitment – from support staff to fee-earner level recruitment – for both regional and international banking and law firms here in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
