We’re working with a leading UK intellectual property firm renowned for its work across advanced technology sectors. They’re looking to expand their team with a talented part-qualified attorney who wants to work on some of the most exciting inventions shaping the future, from AI and machine learning to semiconductors, telecommunications, and next-generation hardware.
You’ll join a collaborative and highly regarded team, working closely with clients ranging from innovative start-ups to global technology leaders. Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the UKIPO and EPO.
Advising clients on global patent strategy, portfolio management, and invention capture.
Assisting with oppositions, appeals, and contentious matters.
Contributing to client-facing projects and building trusted relationships with R&D and legal teams.
You’ll benefit from structured training and exam support as you progress towards full qualification, with a clear pathway to more senior responsibilities.
A degree (or higher) in electronic engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
Part-qualified UK or European Patent Attorney (or significant progress towards qualification).
Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
A genuine interest in emerging technologies and helping clients protect their innovations.
Experience in drafting, prosecution, or advising on patent matters within the electronics/tech space is highly desirable.
